Name: Sotor 767 / Breeyan-Hantofar-Calarass
Rank/Nickname: The Emperor (unknown but to a few); Councilor Eight | Former Prince
Age: 91 / 33
Gender: None / Male
Birthday: Uncertain
Affiliation: Yeerk Empire
Race: Yeerk / Andalite
Appearance: Sotor is merely a grayish slug, with very little green to its shade, and very few markings. It is unremarkable in appearance, even when compared with other Yeerks.
Breeyan appears as your typical Andalite, minus the navy blue colouration of his fur, which appears almost velvety on the parts of his body where the fur is course. He stands 6’8” from the top of his head to the bottoms of his hooves, and is relatively well-built for an Andalite. Atop his head swivels a pair of eyes mounted upon stalks, and jutting from the sides of his head are two pointed ears, and between them are his almond-shaped golden eyes, as well as the three vertical nose-slits he breathes through. His long neck secures his head to his thin torso, from which extend two long, thin arms. These reach halfway down the forearm of his front leg, and end in seven-digited hands with opposable thumbs. His head, neck, and hands are covered in courser fur, while that on his back, chest, and arms is longer and softer.
His long, thin torso is attached to a deer-like lower body, all of which is covered by the longer fur. It ends in four powerful legs, allowing for great agility. His rear legs are bent back. They end in hooves, and in the back, dewclaws. The bottoms of his hooves are covered in pads to absorb the nutrients of the grass and water. And extending from his flank is that which makes the Andalite a most menacing opponent indeed: a long, powerful tail with a sharp, scythelike blade of bone. Breeyan is a very skilled tailfighter; he learned from among the best: his father.
Personality:
Sotor is a unique Yeerk in many aspects. He is as he used to be, silent, though a bit more active and outspoken. He rules by proxy, appearing to be working under someone (their enigmatic emperor, of course). As a Yeerk, he is not arrogant, seeming at times, even humble. He learns from his mistakes, and he is a forgiving Yeerk - unless you either happen to just be pure stupid, or worse, a traitor. He praises the loyal, and punishes traitors. He keeps his Andalite host in tip-top shape, but does not over-display him, instead morphing his former Hork-Bajir host when he formally appears. He is still very confident and brave, and cruel and cunning, in a more silent manner.
Breeyan takes more after his uncle than his father, and is a brilliant tactician and a strategist. However, his intelligence can be a bit of his downfall: Breeyan is no leader, due to being quite arrogant even among other Andalites, and developing somewhat of an attitude. This is why he did not become captain of the StarSweeper when his grandfather was killed. He both admires and dislikes Satesion for his childhood, and also seeks to impress his father. He hates the Yeerk, but has lost all will to it; it has broken him. He hopes that his father does not see him like this, and that someday, he and the Yeerk scum die, and with them, the Empire.
History:
Sotor 767 does not remember much of its rise to leader of what was once an isolated planet of Yeerks. It still remains proud to have been only a grub when it took its first host, a Gedd of course, for itself, and braved a world of predators and dreariness. Eventually, he found himself within the Yeerk leadership, as a Councilor. As the current leader of the Council passed, Sotor was elected as the new. It was among the first Yeerks to have laid eyes upon Seerow, having been taken (along with the rest of the Council) to the Andalite upon his request to meet the Yeerk leadership. Intrigued by what it saw, the ambitious future Emperor began to strategise. One fateful day, they attacked; Guraff 427 was the first to kill.
When the Nahara were enslaved, some Councilors shed their Gedd hosts for these; there were few of them, however. Sotor opted to infest an Ongachic when one was caught, seeing as it was superior, but not by much, to the Gedd and Nahara. After Esplin 9466 declared the Hork-Bajir the living weapons of the Yeerk Empire, the Council was among the first to take Hork-Bajir hosts, Sotor among them, of course. It regarded the war and the dropping of the Quantum Drug great losses of the Empire, but continued to build its Empire. The Yeerks soon met the Taxxons, their allies, who were willing to serve as hosts for the Yeerks. It did not take a Taxxon host, but tried one to learn just what they were like.
It would continue to rule the Yeerks from the new Council ship, as the Empire grew. Its host eventually grew old; it took another Hork-Bajir. It was quite pleased when the Ventarii were taken...though, it would have preferred more to have been taken as hosts. In fact, it was presented with a Ventarii host, to use as it pleased. There were the humans, however; it knew that, with so many hosts, the Yeerk Empire would be nigh unstoppable.
But things went awry, and the Yeerks lost the human homeworld. The Empire was beaten back, by the humans, and soon after, the Andalites; the tides of war began to change. Sotor continued leading his Empire from the safety of his Council ship, hoping his Empire would gain new power. He took a human host for a bit, but then, Indar came with an Andalite that he had captured, a prince. He gave this Andalite to Sotor, and Sotor elevated him from the position of Visser Twenty, to Visser Five. Now an Andalite-Controller, Sotor was filled with even more confidence, and was at times seen on the battlefield - under the guise of Visser Seventeen. He hoped he, and those under him, would usher in a new era to the Yeerk Empire.
Satesion-Hantofar-Ixius, son of the almost-legendary Captain-Prince Gasedion, was a very powerful war-prince, and very skilled as well. Many Controllers had fallen at his blade, and he had personally trained many an aristh in the ways of blade-fighting. He was renowned for his various exploits, and victories won against the Yeerks. Eventually, he married; her name was Hagera-Misheil-Theneri. Their first child was a son, whom they named Jamilan-Misheil-Chulain. From the moment his father laid eyes upon him, he decided that he would raise that boy to be a prodigy like he was.
Breeyan was an explorer when he was a child. He would wander far from the scoop, wanting to see what there was to see, and to enjoy how different is what from what he was used to. As he matured, he never lost this feeling for exploration, but his father wouldn’t have any of it. It was from a very young age that Satesion trained him to use his body and especially his tailblade to his advantage, as well as the basics of war. He pushed the youth hard, expecting a great deal out of him, expecting him to grow up to be the next Satesion. He made the same mistake his father had, in overestimating his son’s abilities, though for Satesion, it had been that the Andalite didn’t want to learn. Here, Jamilan desired to appease his father and improve himself, he just didn’t have much drive or ability.
He wanted to become a pilot, not a fighter. He wanted to navigate a ship while someone else messed with the killing. Luckily, his father did not control what he focused on in school, and he was lucky to get the extra training with Satesion until his father had to go off to war. The boy learned much in the academy, and was devoted to his studies...though sometimes, his mind would wander, and his instructor would redirect him. However, Breeyan always managed to make decent marks, some of them exceptional. His father was actually proud of him as well, when he spoke to him. He especially liked to hear how his son’s combat training was going. He wanted to see a warrior graduate. Jamilan graduated, and chose to be a pilot. Eventually his skill and reputation earned him a princely position.
He shown as a magnificent, and brave, pilot, until suddenly, things changed for the worst. He met an Andalite warrior who should have been dead; one who had trained under his father. Himuran, son of Alloran. Himuran ended up knocking him out; when he woke, there was a Yeerk in his head. It declared itself to be the Yeerk Emperor...and Breeyan fought it, but in the end, it dominated him.
