Name: Jamie Cemmelon
Rank/Nickname: N/A
Age: 34 (in mind) | 13 (in body)
Gender: Female; Body is Male
Birthday: September 28
Affiliation: None {Yet}
Race: Morph-Capable Hork-Bajir nothlit {Human}
Colour: Green
Appearance:
Jamie seems typical, in appearance, for a male Hork-Bajir. Her leathery skin is a dark shade of green, and she stands around 6'9" tall. Her darker-green mouth is resemblance of a bird's beak, and is hard, with tiny teeth inside of her mouth. Three blades, revealing that the body is male, protrude from her head. She stands on talon-like three-toed, theropod feet. Her legs are long, the knees bending backwards. A long tail juts out from her back, ending in a pointed blade, with a second beneath it. Her arms are long, and powerful, ending in three-clawed hands with opposing thumbs. Blades protrude from here, one each from her wrist and elbow, and two from the arm in between.
Personality:
Jamie isn’t the innocent young girl she used to be. She knows that the body she is trapped in is the body of a Hork-Bajir, a peaceful creature enslaved by the Yeerks, and that said Hork-Bajir probably died long ago. Still, she knows that she is a walking weapon of war, and to survive, she must use it as thus. Jamie is serious, and down-to-earth, most of the time. She is not afraid to fight off threats, and loves seeing Yeerks squirm.
Due to being on the Hork-Bajir planet for years, Jamie is tough, but not as mature as she would have been by staying on Earth. She doesn’t know what has happened to Earth, and she wants to save it, no matter what the cost. However, Jamie isn’t always serious, and sometimes makes bad jokes, and her usual wordplay. She likes to laugh, and when people say funny things, she will. Jamie loves to eat tree bark, but of course – she is a Hork-Bajir. She has accepted her fate, and is more used to the trees than to the land now. She shortened her name, to make it a more Hork-Bajir-ish name: Jamee Semlan. She prefers to go by this name.
History:
Jamie was born in Georgia to two proud parents. Said proud parents ended up divorcing, however, when Jamie’s father abruptly took her and headed across the country, to Texas, with her. He left only enough money for her mother to live on for a while, taking the car and everything else along with Jamie. Jamie had a half-sister, who was abused by her mother. She rarely saw her. Jamie’s father eventually married a woman named Jean, and Jamie immediately hated the snotty, rich woman, despite the fact that they were now moving from a mobile home to luxury. Her mother introduced her father to the Sharing, and both of them became distant from Jamie.
Jamie attended day cares, where she was picked on, until she became of school age. In elementary school, she was again picked on, to the point where she threw rocks at a kid and he had to get stitches. In middle school, it wasn’t as bad, but that was because she was in special education. Around that time, Jamie found something, a weapon of sorts, in her parents’ drawer. She took it, and hid it, wondering what was going on with her parents. She went to school, and showed it to one of her friends, Rachel. Rachel realised what it was, but didn’t say a thing about it. A Controller saw Jamie with it, and she was called to Chapman’s office.
Instead of going to his office, because she feared suspension, Jamie left the building, and ran for her life. Rachel pursued her, and told her she’d talked to Jake, and that she was going to get Jamie to safety. They learned Controllers were after Jamie, and Jamie was a trustworthy type, so they opted to make her an Animorph, after “Testing” her. Her first morph was a hawk of sorts, she can’t remember which. At one point, she was shown the Hork-Bajir valley, and fell in love with it. What she loved was that it was a utopia of peaceful creatures freed from slavery. It gave her a passion. She morphed a Hork-Bajir, and swung through the trees with the other Hork-Bajir; she spent the night there with them, only flying back home due to hunger.
She’d spend her time in the forest by Cassie’s house, being brought food, and every now and then, heading to the Hork-Bajir valley. She sometimes would go on missions with Toby, and used her Hork-Bajir morph on those missions, as well as for her battle morph. When they went to the Hork-Bajir world, she was among the first to volunteer to go, and joined the group as they headed to the Yeerk-infested planet.
While they were there, Jamie got separated from the group. They didn’t have the time to return for her, and feared her dead. Jamie, however, had been trapped, with no way to get out, in a pit. She had to morph back, not wanting to become a nothlit, and navigated through a cavern. She spent her time in hiding on this world, and eventually joined Aldrea and her forces in their rebellion. Though, unfortunately, the rebellion fell when Visser Seven and a Yeerk assassin who they did not get the name of (Eldra 928), suppressed the rebels. Jamie managed to escape, but not without losing something important to her: her power to morph.
The next two years, she spent in Father Deep. She found a cavern concealed completely from the Yeerks, and there, she found an Arn in stasis; his name was Quetzolopoctli. Using merely her human knowledge, she was able to figure out how to free the Arn from the stasis. Prior to his revival, the Ellimist met with her, and gave her the ability to morph, saying that the universe could use her abilities. Then, Jamie met with the Arn, and explained everything. The Arn agreed to help her, since he did not have the resources to make a whole army of Hork-Bajir. He created monsters, powerful ones, which Jamie was able to acquire. With this arsenal of morphs, Jamie could take on armies; possibly.
But the Ellimist had said that she was not meant to be here, on the Hork-Bajir planet. Her fight with the Empire would come later. She was to get Quetzolopoctli to safety, and head to Earth. They stole a Yeerk ship, and the Arn helped her to figure out how to fly it. She was intercepted by Andalites, the Dome ship StarSweeper, commanded by than Captain-Prince Gashedion-Limalan-Abraxas. The other Andalites were untrusting of the pair, but after bioscans, Gashedion accepted to talk with them. He learned of their plight (but not of the fact that Jamie was formerly a human and morph-capable); he agreed to keep the Arn on his ship, to protect him. Jamie, who they believed to be a Hork-Bajir seer, told them she had to continue to Earth.
The Andalites were surprised; it would take years to get to Earth from here. But Jamie trusted the Ellimist, and sure enough, an anomaly in the engines took her and her ship to Earth, an Earth that she would not recognise...
