Tia was asleep in a beat-up old chair, the ship having been programmed to land on Earth at random coordinates she had arbitrarily chosen. She just hoped that the coordinates didn't have a huge population or something. The computer began beeping at her, rousing her from her slumber. "What the fuck, computer?" she muttered, rubbing her eyes and glancing at the console. "Oh, arouti!!!!" she cursed. The ship's autopilot was heading into a dive, but the landing mechanism was out of whack. Norpo had built the damn thing years ago, and he had taken the secrets of its repairs to his grave. She took the ship off autopilot and tried to land it. She screamed as she managed to angle it so that it skimmed over the land, jumping a few times and finally dipping as it crashed, causing the whole ship to flip over. She landed on the ceiling of the ship as the lights went out. "Oh, damn it..."

Jake was traveling through the wasteland on foot. He was wearing his white and black face paint, having just gotten back from a time of annoying the brotherhood. Then, not far from him, a ship crashlanded...UPSIDE DOWN. "What the..." Jake muttered as he made his way to the ship, ready to morph if need be. He made his way over to the ship. "Hey!" He called as he tried to find some way inside. "You okay in there?"

Tia sighed, hearing someone outside. A part of her had sort of been hoping that maybe she would be forced to give up this stupid mission and die in the ship, but it seemed that irony had decided otherwise. She pushed herself to a sitting position and tried to stand. THWAK! She cursed under her breath as her head hit the console. "Yeah, I'm good!" she called to the stranger. "A little banged up, but good." She realized after a second that her nose was bleeding. "Wonderful..."

"Hold on!" Jake called, climbing onto the ship, trying to get inside. He managed to open the hatch and climb inside, forgetting about his face paint. "Are you okay? Is there any I can help?" he asked.

"I'm fine!" Tia called from the darkness, trying to make her way to where light was coming in from the hatch and the figure standing there. As she approached, her eyes began adjusting to the light. She stopped, staring at him. "You've got something...Right here..." she said, gesturing at her nose.

"Um...no? But you're bleeding," Jake said calmly, helping her out of the ship and down to the ground. "You sure you're okay?" he asked, then it hit him. "Oh! The paint? It's fine," he said calmly. "So...what brings you here?"

Tia glanced at her shirt and pulled it over her head, using it as a Kleenex to stop the bleeding. "It's just a bump," she replied calmly. After having lived in mostly seclusion for so long, she had sort of forgotten social niceties like: don't take your shirt off in front of strangers. Fortunately, she still wore the proper support. "Just...nostalgia and stupidity, I guess," she added. "Why are you wearing paint?" She was starting to slip back into a strange mix of Galarad and Andalite without realizing it as she spoke.

Jake just stood there, when all of a sudden, she just took off her shirt! Jake looked her in the eye as he spoke, though he hadn't seen a woman in a while. "Um...the paint...I will explain later, but not here, not now. Too dangerous." He said. "Come with me, I'll get you cleaned up." He then proceeded to walk to the hidden underground bunker he called home. "You comin?"

Tia searched his face for a second, unsure if he was serious. "Yes," she said finally, moving towards him. She still had the bloody shirt to her face. "Tell me," she said after a few moments, "do you have a way to send coded messages?"

"I do, but it's pretty old, and I can't remember the last time I used the thing," Jake said as they walked. Soon, they reached a clearing, and Jake walked over to a certain spot, and opened the big hatch doors that were hidden by hologram. "Well, it's not much but..." he said as he walked down the stairs and shut the doors behind Tia. The bunker was set up like a fairly decent apartment, but in the corner was an old computer of sorts. "Well," he said, motioning to it, "there it is." He then went into the washroom and cleaned off his face, and grabbed a shirt from his clothes, and tossed it to her. "Here, it's a little big, but it's clean. Name's Ricky, by the way..."

"I'm...oh, god what is my name?" she said, catching "Ricky"'s shirt and dropping her own on the ground. It was about then that she remembered that most people actually wore clothing, especially when around the opposite gender. At least her nose had stopped bleeding. "Morgan," she said, finally remembering part of her name. "Um...Tiamate Morgan, I think." A ghost of a smile appeared on her face but quickly fell. "It's been years that I've been called that, though." She wondered over to the computer, the bloody shirt forgotten, and looked at it. She let out a quiet sigh and muttered something under her breath in Andalite. "I don't think this will do the job, Ricky."

"Sorry, but it's all I got, now, Tiamate," he sighed. "Don't think that thing's ever worked..." He sat down on the cot he slept on. "Well, I would get a new one, but....I'm a wanted man. A fugitive. If the Brotherhood finds me or even thinks they know who I am, I'm as good as dead..."

Tia turned around suddenly, facing him with an intense look. "Brotherhood?" she asked, her voice hard. "So the reports are true," she added, glancing at the ground, then back up at "Ricky". "Tell me, what progress has the rebellion against the Brotherhood made?"

"Rebellions," Jake corrected. "There are several small groups everywhere. They do significant damage, but that's all it is. As for myself, I do solo operations against them. No one else knows about me, or who I really am. Hence the paint." He stood up. "The Brotherhood must be stopped, and David overthrown." He then slipped off into a small room next to him. His workout room, and then into a hidden room within. There, was a state of the art, fully functional computer. He stayed there for several minutes, staring at what he saw. Another ship landed there today? He then rejoined Tia in the main room. "Sorry bout that," he said. "So, what are your plans from here?"

"My plans. My plans are to fight against David and to destroy all who sympathize with him. His tyranny has gone on long enough. But I don't want to join up with the rebellions. Too much time has passed. The only other thing I need to do is obtain weapons. Otherwise, I won't do much good against him."
