Tia felt awkward at the Gardens, her smile practically plastered to her face. Her muscles ached, but twice she had been caught and zapped, and she wasn't looking to have it happen a third time. "Tell me when we can stop smiling," she muttered to Jake, just wanting to get this over with. She hated being out in the open with all these...people...Especially since all of them addressed her by her first name. It made her extremely uncomfortable.

"You're fine, Tia," Jake said softly. "They normally don't come in here, but I'll keep watch for you." He walked through the Gardens with her, having been zapped a couple of times himself. "It'd be better if we just get what we came for and get out," he whispered.

"All right," Tia replied, dropping the smile and sort of massaging her cheeks. "Hm..." She approached one of the cages, one that housed a lion. "What can take you down?" she asked it, staring at it, its eyes meeting hers almost as if it could see through her, to her past. She shook her head, shaking off the eerie feeling. She had been spending waaay to much time in isolation. "So, what Earth animals can take down one of these?"

"Well, not much..." Jake responded. "Lions are pretty tough. But normally, they can be taken down by a bigger Lion, or a tiger or something. Maybe something like a bear...It's all up to you..." Jake just stared into the exhibit, getting lost in his thoughts and memories.

Tia took a deep breath. Then she took another one. She closed her eyes and did the old trick where a person spins around with their eyes closed and finger pointed strait out and whatever they're pointing at, that's what they'll get. The first time, she nearly smacked Jake in the face and had to move away from him to try again. The second time, she landed on the parrot cage. "I don't think that's going to work..." she muttered to herself, sighing and trying again. This time she landed on a black bear. "All right, I've made my decision. Now, how do I go about aquiring this, again?"

Jake stepped back, out of sheer reflex when Tia almost hit him. Then, he realized what she was doing and chuckled. "Black bear? Good choice. Now, you actually have to touch the animal to acquire it. Just touch it, and concentrate."

Tia gave Jake a sideways look. "Does it have to be conscious when I aquire it?" she asked, staring at the bear. She did not want to get into the cage with a live bear that could easily tear her to shreads. She wasn't that stupid.

"Well, as long as it's alive," Jake said, answering her question. "It really isn't that bad," he reassured her. "Just go in, get the DNA, get out, that simple."

"Yeah, well, if it's so easy why don't you go in there and do it first," she muttered to herself, assessing the cage. Without even thinking to find a door, she stuck her foot into one of the links of the fence and began climbing up. It had been years since she had climbed a fence, but it almost felt like she had never stopped.

Jake sighed, wondering why she didn't just use the door. He just looked on as she climbed. "Be careful!" he hissed.
He turned around, keeping watch while Tia did what she had to do, hoping he wouldn't have to explain this to anyone.
He looked back at her. "How are you doing?"

"Kid, I've been climbing fences since you were in diapers," Tia hissed back, reaching the top. She swung her leg over, straddling the fence and taking out her Dracon beam. She took careful aim, when she heard Jake ask her how she was doing. She jumped, fumbling with the weapon and accidentally dropping it. "Well, I was fine until you just asked me," she snapped back quietly, sighing. The bear, which had been asleep, opened one eye as the weapon fell on the ground with a soft thud.

Jake looked as the bear opened it's eye. Quickly, he focused on the tiger, running towards the cage, he flung open the door and rushed in as he finished morphing.
He growled at the bear, which approached the new challenger. <Tia! Acquire it now!> Jake ordered.

Tia dropped down over the fence and landed on her side. She rolled over and sprang to her feet quickly. Her Dracon beam was between her and the bear. "How exactly do you expect me to acquire it without it acquiring me???" she snapped.

Jake dodged as the bear struck at him. <Just touch the bear while it's distracted. It'll go into a trance for several seconds. During that time, you run out the door, and I'll be right there.>
He then continued dodging the bear, hoping Tia would just acquire the bear and get outta there....

Tia sighed. When she was younger, she probably would have done something like this without hesitation, but she had grown up a bit since then...lost too many friends. Still, she couldn't make Jake try and hold the thing off forever. She waited until the bear was turned away from her and approached it, placing her palm against its fur. She closed her eyes and focused on the bear. It started going into the trance for a second, but then seemed to shake it off and swung its paw around, smacking Tia in the face and sending her flying into the fence. Then it turned back to the tiger.
